How could your trip to KISC look?
It’s important to remember that with our help, you can plan your time in KISC to suit your group. There’s no fixed itinerary, every activity holiday is different. That said, we know it’s helpful to see how your time away could look, so here’s a sample itinerary to get the ideas flowing.
Day 1
Coach and Channel crossing.
Day 2
Arrive at KISC for a tour of the site and then settle in to your campsite (that’s ready and waiting!). Next, spend the rest of the day enjoying some time exploring KISC.
Day 3
It’s time to get the hiking boots on and set off on a 3-hour hike up 1,800m to the Alpine Cheesery. It’ll be worth it for the views alone! Then hike back down to camp and enjoy an afternoon activity. Abseiling is a popular choice! Enjoy a light trail around the grounds of KISC. A great chance to get chatting to other scouts from around the world!
Day 4
Take the gondola from Kandersteg village to Lake Oeschinensee, where you can swim in the shadows of the mountains. Truly spectacular! Also, go mountain biking around Kandersteg or attempt to beat the crate stacking record at camp. After, it’s time for the famous KISC international campfire where hundreds of Scouts and Explorers from around the world share stories and adventures whilst enjoying an evening of food and music.
Day 5
This is a must….visit Jungfraujoch via the highest mountain railway in Europe where you’ll see stunning views. Then, spend the afternoon hiking the Eiger Trail. And after a day of adventure, why not enjoy an evening at leisure at KISC?
Day 6
Travel to the village of Adelboden for a morning hike or cable car ride to the amazing Engstilgen Falls. Visit the Cholerenschlucht Gorge for its impressible waterfall. Return to KISC for a chilled evening by the campfire.
Day 7
Visit the Trummelbach Falls and stand behind the thundering glacier waterfalls. When in Switzerland you can enjoy a traditional Swiss evening of yodelling and fondue.
Day 8
Take the Tschentenalp cable car for spectacular views of the Bernese Oberland. Then, return to Adelboden village and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 9 & 10

FAQs
On booking, you will receive a tour confirmation letter which will include notable deadlines for tour arrangements including booking activities.
On our set departure tours during the summer holidays your coach will not stay with you in resort and travel will be on public transport with tickets purchased in resort. Groups filling their own coach and travelling outside of the summer holidays will keep their coach with them in resort.
During the summer months, Venture Abroad provide all tents and catering tents and catering equipment for your group.
