Adelboden has a local supermarket conveniently located in the centre of the village, so your group can wander down and pick up everything you need. But here at Venture Abroad, we know how precious your time away is and we’ll do everything we can to make it hassle-free. Canyoning Interlaken
Imagine the wind whipping past your face, the encouraging cheers of your fellow climbers, and the breathtaking view of the canyon and its surroundings. Introducing… Canyoning Interlaken! This is a stunning BRAND-NEW activity and is perfect for thrill-seekers and canyoning beginners alike! Just a 10-minute drive from the scenic town of Interlaken and our base, prepare for this half-day adventure to pique your interest in this sport. With a coach to transport your group and all the necessary canyoning equipment provided, you can guarantee that everyone will stay motivated and ready for the activity!
Spend around 1 to 1.5 hours exploring the canyon, with the trip starting with a 10m (32ft) rappel and the highest jump ascending to 5m (16ft). Professional guides will take you on an unforgettable journey through magnificent gorges, beneath cascading waterfalls, and deep into the heart of nature. This is an adventure like no other!

How could your trip to Adelboden look?
It’s important to remember that with our help, you can plan your time in Adelboden to suit your group. There’s no fixed itinerary, every activity holiday is different. That said, we know it’s helpful to see how your time away could look, so here’s a sample itinerary to get the ideas flowing.
Day 1
Depart by coach for your overnight ferry crossing.
Day 2
You’ll arrive in Adelboden by the afternoon for your first glimpse of your chalet, then it’s time to unwind, explore the area or relax in the local outdoor pool.
Day 3
Spend the morning hiking to Engstligenalp for beautiful Alpine scenery, where you could enjoy a picnic before heading back to Adelboden for an afternoon at leisure.
Day 4
Scouting groups can hop on public transport to Kandersteg to visit Kandersteg International Scout Centre, while Girlguiding groups can spend time in Adelboden vising the WAGGGS World Centre, Our Chalet – bucket list trips! Spend the afternoon in Kandersteg and ride the Oeschinensee cable car. From the summit, follow the hiking trail to the ever-so picturesque Lake Oeschinen.
Day 5
Visit the Woodcarver’s Workshop where you’ll receive a woggle with your name engraved on it, before embarking on the Cholorenschlucht hike to admire the gorge.
Day 6
This morning, enjoy a leisurely boat trip to the beautiful town of Interlaken and enjoy some time browsing the local shops.
Day 7
Head out to the group-favourite Adventure Park Adelboden for the ultimate adrenaline rush – zipwires, high ropes – the lot! In the afternoon, spend time at the local outdoor pool before finishing off another fantastic day with a traditional Swiss evening full of cheese fondue and feel-good music.
Day 8
Take the Tschentenalp cable car for views of the Bernese Oberland, before returning to Adelboden to enjoy your last afternoon at leisure.
Day 9 & 10
Your time in Switzerland has come to an end. It’s time to depart by coach and ferry for an overnight journey back home.

Yes, groups will be required to bring these items with them.
On our set departure tours during the summer holidays your coach will not stay with you in resort and travel will be on public transport with tickets purchased in resort. Groups filling their own coach and travelling outside of the summer holidays will keep their coach with them in resort.
Absolutely! There is a great public transport link between Adelboden and Kandersteg, making it easy to include a day trip to the famous KISC.
