How could your trip to Toronto, Canada look?
Like all Venture Abroad activity holidays, you can tailor your time away to suit your youth group. However, we know it’s useful to see how your time away could look, so here is a suggested itinerary.
Day 1
Fly from the UK to Toronto. Settle into your hotel then head out to explore the local area.
Day 2
It’s time to get your bearings and see some of the city’s sights on a guided tour. You’ll then enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city on your own.
Day 3
There’s no better view of the city than from the main observation level of the CN tower, a whopping 346m above ground reached in just 58 seconds by high-speed lifts. Once you’ve got your feet back on the ground, head to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.
Day 4
Board a ferry and take a day trip to Centre Island, where you’ll find a sandy beach, Franklin’s Children’s Garden, a pier that extends into Lake Ontario, as well as the ‘must-visit’ Centerville Amusement Park.
Day 5
It’s time to head on a guided day trip to Niagara Falls where you’ll experience the falls from almost every angle with the Hornblower Cruise, Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara’s Fury and White-Water Walk.
Day 6
After a long day yesterday, you’ll enjoy a day at leisure today. Guide groups could see the Guiding Headquarters located in the city.
Day 7
Step back to the 1860s as you visit Black Creek Pioneer Village. Costumed educators will demonstrate and involve you in trades, crafts, and activities common in 1860s Ontario, and you can explore the historic buildings, meet some animals, and explore the beautiful gardens.
Day 8
It’s time to head home as you board your flight back to the UK.
