Stay your way: indoor heated cabins

After a fun-filled day of exciting winter activities, you’ll be pleased to be welcomed back to a heated cabin at TrollAktiv. These simple, comfortable cabins are ideal for groups thanks to the multi-bedded rooms and kitchen and living room areas, and provide the perfect place to unwind and settle down to recharge for the following day.

Food, glorious, food

We recommend that all of our groups travel on a full-board basis. Trust us, you’ll be thrilled to return to TrollAktiv and have a warm, hearty meal waiting for you after a day of adventure in the snow.

Activities and Excursions

There’s no doubt about it, TrollAktiv is located in the heart of the Norwegian countryside, and in our opinion, this makes it the perfect base for a winter activity holiday. The staff create an incredible programme which allows every member of your group to feel like a winter explorer.

How could your winter trip to Norway look?

All of our trips are tailor-made, but we know it’s helpful to see how your time away could look, so here’s a sample itinerary to get the ideas flowing.

Day 1

Fly to Kristiansand Airport in Norway where you’ll set off on your hour transfer away from the city into the heart of the Norwegian countryside. Settle into your accommodation, explore the site and enjoy an evening meal.

Day 2

Wrap up warm and head out into the snow for a full day of snowshoeing. Head back to TrollAktiv for an evening meal and enjoy some time recharging.

Day 3

Get back out on the snow for a full day of cross-country skiing.

Day 4

Spend a full day learning survival skills and try your hand at igloo building, then enjoy an evening meal and time at leisure.

Day 5

Put your lessons from earlier in the week into practice with a full day of cross-country skiing, then enjoy your final evening at TrollAktiv.

Day 6

All good things must come to an end, and sadly this is your final morning at TrollAktiv before heading back to Kristiansand Airport to fly home.

This is now the third time I have used Venture Abroad, we visited Kandersteg in 2016 and Iceland in 2023. Venture Abroad are great to deal with, nothing is too much trouble and her expert help and advice is much valued. I would never consider an international trip without Venture Abroad.
