Welcome to Merkenveld Loppem, a vibrant youth centre in West Flanders that places you at the heart of excitement, leisure and adventure! Nestled amidst 30 acres of lush play forest and meadows, this indoor self-catering accommodation offers groups everything they could possibly need for an enjoyable stay.
Comprised of four units, there are a variety of dormitory options available (2, 4, 6, and 8, as well as a loft for 10 people) and sanitary areas with showers and toilets next to each sleeping entity. Acres of lush green forests surround this warm and welcoming adventure hub, perfect for walking tours and biking trails. With Wi-Fi, a courtyard, campfire, playing field with mini soccer goals and adventure pond, you’re set for a fabulous stay!

De Blauwput Hostel in Leuven has 2-bed, 4-bed and 6-bed room options, all with ensuite bathrooms. You also have access to a lounge, bar, luggage storage, lockers, terrace, table football, free Wi-Fi and restaurant upon request. This vibrant base, set in a city with a rich past and plenty to see and do, has everything you need for an unforgettable trip!
The Bruegel Hostel in Brussels is an international hotspot within walking distance of Central Station and the Grote Markt. You’re at the centre of it all! The hostel is also entirely in the theme of painter Pieter Bruegel, a famous artist of Dutch and Flemish Renaissance paintings! It has 1-bed, 2-bed, 3-bed, 4-bed and 6-bed room options, all with ensuite bathrooms, as well as 4-bed option with a shared bathroom and a studio for 2 people. You’ll have access to a lounge, luggage storage, lockers, terrace, free Wi-Fi and breakfast.

How could your trip to Belgium look?
It’s important to remember that with our help, you can plan your time in Belgium, to suit your youth group. There’s no fixed itinerary, every activity holiday is different. That said, we know it’s helpful to see how your time away could look, so here’s a sample itinerary to get the ideas flowing.
Day 1
Depart by coach from the UK. Once checked in, use your free time to explore your new base and settle in!
Day 2
Soak up the sights of Bruges with a canal cruise. This medieval city is postcard-worthy – the gothic architecture, the windings canals decorated with flower pots, the lightly hued shop windows, the pop of greenery… a fabulous fairy tale destination! After a good explore, indulge your sweet tooth with a trip to Choco-Story – a great way to learn about the artistry of chocolate making!
Day 3
Visit Gravensteen Castle, the Castle of the Counts, and explore towering staircases, huge battlements, mysterious rooms and spectacular views. These houses hold captivating medieval secrets and stories! Then spend the rest of your day exploring Ghent! From trendy streets lined with pop-up restaurants to marvellous monuments (three are UNESCO World Heritage sites), and bustling markets and squares, you’re set for an exciting day out
Day 4
This day is for the thrill seekers! A trip to Adventure Parc will see you power through tree top courses and fly over the park on ziplines!
Day 5
Journey back in time to WW1 as you visit poignant battlefields and walking along preserved trenches at Sanctuary wood.
Day 6
Visit Walibi park (via public transport at your group’s arrangement and expense), for a whirlwind adventure! There’s every kind of ride in this place, from pulse-pounding roller coasters to tiki trails and river rapids!
Day 7
And with all those unforgettable memories unlocked, it’s time to head home!
