Jungfraujoch Day Trip
Known as the ‘Top of Europe’ Jungfraujoch sits between the Jungfrau and Monch peaks and is home to the highest railway station in Europe! Take a day trip to this location, and you can enjoy panoramic views of the Aletsch Glacier, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as exploring the magical ice sculptures in the ice cave and more!
How could your trip to Interlaken look?
Like all Venture Abroad activity holidays for youth groups, you can tailor your time away to suit your group; however, we know it’s useful to see how your time away could look, so here is a suggested itinerary to help get you started.
Day 1
Fly to Geneva and enjoy a scenic train ride to Interlaken, where you can spend a leisurely afternoon meandering through the town.
Day 2
Embark on a thrilling journey of canyoning down rock faces and waterfalls, before a calmer afternoon exploring the town or even take a trip to Lake Brienz or Lake Thun where you can relax lakeside!
Day 3
Set off for a full-day visit to Jungfraujoch, where you can stop off in the nearby towns of Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. Soak in the stunning surroundings of ice-capped mountains, rolling hills, and quaint villages.
Day 4
Spend the morning sailing down the Simme River, a perfect introduction to white water rafting. This action-packed water adventure will have you cruising along scenic landscapes and mountainous terrain and even some rapids! In the afternoon, visit the Harder Kulm, an unmissable stop in Interlaken. It truly offers some of the most breathtaking views in the world!
Day 5
Begin your day with a train journey to Mülenen and ride the Niesenbahn cable car. In the afternoon, take a train to Spiez, one of the most scenic towns in Switzerland! Then take a boat to Interlaken and enjoy the views.
Day 6
High ropes course and free afternoon to explore Interlaken for souvenirs.
With over 160 obstacles, a zipline, and swings, this high rope adventure park will put you to the challenge! Overcome the different courses and test yourself at each level of difficulty. After an action-packed morning, head off into town for some final souvenir shopping and snapshots of the beautiful destination.
Day 7
Return to Geneva via train before your flight home.
